AURELIA GARRIDO QUESADA

Hilvana Lab Founder

A tireless researcher and weaver of systems, Aurelia is a curious explorer of the many facets of human activity. A pioneer of Business Storytelling, she saw in stories a powerful language for understanding, analyzing, and shaping human behavior.

In 2013, she founded Hilvana Lab and developed the Meaning Management System, a methodology based on the language of stories to build business strategies rooted in human motivations. This proven method has been recognized as disruptive and a catalyst for innovation, transformation, and value creation.

Beyond Hilvana Lab, she has held senior leadership and board positions in social, governmental, and academic institutions. She currently serves as Executive Director of the Alianza Empresarial para el Desarrollo (Business Alliance for Development). She was previously CEO of Universidad Veritas (Veritas University), Vice Minister of Culture of Costa Rica, and Regional Operations Manager of the AVINA Foundation.

She holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and an MBA from INCAE, where she graduated with the highest honors and was the first woman to receive the Escolasta Distinguida distinction (INCAE's highest academic honor). She belongs to Class 2 of the Central America Leadership Initiative (CALI) and is a fellow of the Aspen Institute Global Leadership Network (AGLN). She is an international speaker and workshop facilitator, and has served as a guest professor at INCAE Business School.
